When one finds success, there is commonly one “X-factor” that is responsible.  For me, that “X-factor” is Connect Studios.  I began working with Connect during my junior year of high school, eager to begin preparing for auditions for universities and conservatories all over the country.  Through various masterclasses, audition workshops, and text analysis seminars through Connect, I acquired the confidence that I needed to break into the arts. When going into the college audition process, the well-rounded performer will be accepted, and Connect trains each student to be so.  Engaging in masterclasses with professionals on Broadway always becomes a talking point when directors see it on my resume.  I also had the privilege of working with Connect as an accompanist.  Through this position, Connect has Connected me with various theatre companies across the country in need of a musical director and/or accompanist.  In this business, I cannot stress how important it is to network.  Through Connect, I have had the pleasure of working with Broadway Dreams Foundation in Los Angeles as a music-directing intern.  Through this CONNECTION, I have been blessed to work with other incredible theatre companies as well.  Through Connect, I was fortunate enough to be accepted to a majority of my top choices of colleges for both theatre and opera.  After spending one year at University of Michigan in the opera program, I decided that I wanted to keep pursuing the training that I had acquired through Connect, so I transferred to Northwestern University, where I am in the best of both worlds, pursuing a dual degree in Theatre and Opera Performance, with a minor in Dance.  But I will never forget that Connect is the root of all of this.  Connect is the “X-factor” that will ensure that you GET CONFIDENT, GET IN, and GET HIRED!

Getting to experience Connect Studios was great. It was a refreshing take on young adult acting workshops. Wish there were more workshops like this.  - Brandon Henry Rodriguez, LA Casting Director
Our granddaughters have been involved with Theater for several years. They take dance and voice lessons on a regular basis as well as auditioning and performing in local productions.   We added the workshops at Connect Studios as a way to connect them with others outside of their comfort zones and this has proven to be very beneficial for them.  Tracey brings in a wide range of Broadway and Hollywood performers, choreographers, vocalist, directors, producers, managers and agents as well as our own local talent.  Knowing the Bay Area Theatrical schedules and rehearsals, she is able to provide most of the workshops on days that make them available for kids who participate in shows.  The once a year Hollywood trip is top notch, giving a great deal of insight to the Hollywood scene and people as well as having fun.  We will continue with these workshops as a way to round out their training, experiences, confidence building and insight to all aspects of a performers world.   Note: Connect Studios also provided a few workshops for parents to give them more information on how to go about helping their child move in the direction they want to go.   We love Connect-Studios!

The trip to LA with Connect Studios by far exceeded all my expectations.  This trip was so well planned out.  We were truly treated as coveted guests by the production crew of Good Luck Charlie, actor Eric Allan Kramer, casting director Carol Goldwasser, and photographers Keith Munyan and Dean Keffer.   My daughter, Kaylee, learned more from the talented group of people that Tracey coordinated to work with her, than she ever has in past endeavors.  I would highly recommend future classes and trips that are offered by Connect Studios for aspiring actors. - Kim Earnshaw, Parent of Connect Student
My son has been taking workshops at Connect Studios since it’s inception. Tracey and her Connect Studios crew create a wonderful atmosphere where kids can tap into their artistic expression and truly hone their craft.  I was impressed by how these classes cover so many of the performing arts disciplines - from stage combat to tv acting to vocal coaching for the musical theater.  Her guest instructors come from the professional worlds of tv, film and Broadway - and the kids get to experience a true master class with actual working artists in the business. Her classes are invaluable for any up and coming young actor, singer or dancer. - Kevin Chamberlain, Actor and Broadway Star
It was a sincere pleasure teaching the workshop for Connect Studios and the students in every way.  I was made to feel welcomed, comfortable, and respected by everyone there. The students in attendance were remarkable in many ways. They were professional in their demeanor, curious, energetic, and talented. Connect Studios students are a prime example of the type of people I enjoy teaching and the reason that I do this. - Steve Reisberg, LA Voice over Coach
"The students at Connect Studios are some of the most open, available, eager young artists I have come across.  Connect Studios is an environment where students can feel encouraged to learn, grow, and capture opportunity.  This is aligned with our educational mission at the Broadway Dreams Foundation.
